Modular course on Bioinformatics @ IBAB, Bangalore

Institute of Bioinformatics and Applied Biotechnology is offering One Month Modular Course on Bioinformatics Resources on Genomics, Transcriptomics and Proteomics.

Continuous course, which would be on all working days (9.30 am till 5.30 pm), starting on 15 April 2011 and ending on 13 May 2011.

Discontinuous course, which will be held with a few non-contact days (self-practice days for assignments) starting on 14 May 2011 and ending on 22 June 2011. This means, some days in the middle of the course will have no lectures or demonstrations, but assignments will be given for practice at your place.

We expect the candidates to have proper foundations in algorithms and theory, good programming skills, in particular, systems programming, and ability to work hard. Requirements may be relaxed for candidates with relevant experience in the area of security or database.
MCA/MSc(CS/IT/ECE) degree is considered equivalent to the BTech/BE degree. Such students are also eligible to apply with the condition that in their undergraduate (i.e. B.Sc.) they should have Mathematics as one of the courses. The marks requirement is same as that given above for BTech/BE degrees.
